GLOWING PATH by Anese
Opening July 4, 2026 at MAINTENANT
Anese Cho is a Dallas-based multidisciplinary artist whose practice centers on light, architecture, and the idea of refuge. Working across installation, sculpture, and public art, her work explores spaces of protection, imagination, and emotional safety, shaped by lived experience and childhood memory rather than autobiography.
Born in Seoul, Korea, of Mongolian descent, Cho is best known for her ongoing installation series Lighthouse, a glowing house-shaped structure presented internationally and permanently installed at the SWCAC Museum in Shenzhen, China. Her illuminated environments function as symbolic shelters—places of pause, resilience, and quiet strength.
